You are 1 and 1/2 today!
This month you discovered how much fun swings are. I'd tried to get you on the swing before and you didn't like it, then one day we were at the park and you saw another child having a swing so decided you wanted to try it. Now, you love the swing and don't want to get off! You will happily stay on the swing for 45 minutes!
At the moment you are fascinated with lights and light switches. Everywhere we go you look at the lights and at home you spend ages turn on lights. You turn the switch on then look delightedly at the light. To your great frustration you can't turn the lights off again but it won't be long until you have mastered that too.
Another thing you learned to do this month is to kick a ball. We now take a ball to the park with us so that you can kick it around. You are also very interested in zips, you can undo them easily but struggle to do them up (so scream with frustration when the zip won't go up).
Every day you get more and more independent. Now when we go to playgroup you race out to the playground and don't give me a second thought until you're ready to go home to sleep.

You are the best thing that has happened to Dad and I and we love you more every day. You are such a delightful child so happy, curious and full of life. The sound of your laughter is the best sound in the world, we are so blessed to have you in our lives.
