Face of Australia Impact-Curl Mascara

Face of Australia have been coming out with so many great products lately, it's difficult to know where to start. Keep an eye out for more reviews coming soon!

I was sent their new Impact-Curl mascara to review at the perfect time as it arrived just when I was due to throw out my other mascara. I throw my mascara out every three months purely because it gives me a great excuse to try a new one.

For some reason I found it impossible to take a good photo of this, every photo turned out blurry, so the photo above is from the Face of Australia website. I have brown which I love because it's much softer than black. I find black mascara can look a little harsh on me as I am quite pale. What I love about this mascara is that it gives such great volume and curl to my lashes that when I'm in a hurry I only need to put on this and a little bit of eyeliner and I look 'done'.

Ever since Lancome discontinued my holy grail mascara, Flextencils, I've been searching for something similar. Until I met Impact-Curl I hadn't found anything that came close, but Impact-Curl is just as good as Flextencils was and a hell of a lot cheaper!
The two things that I look for in a mascara are volume and curl. Whilst I've found some great volumising mascaras, prior to using Impact-Curl I hadn't found a mascara that held the curl all day. Other curling mascaras I've used curl my lashes initially but after a few hours the curl is gone and my lashes are flat again.
As you can see in the photo's I get great curl that it lasts all day. The curl is even better if I use an eyelash curler after I've put my mascara on. In these photo's I've applied one coat of mascara and haven't used a curler.
As you would expect, with more coats of mascara you get more volume.
I usually use two or three coats to get lush looking lashes.

The brush is great, it's a rubber brushes with big and small bristles that catch every lash and comb through easily so there are no clumps. In my opinion brushes can make or break a mascara. It doesn't matter how good the formula is, if the brush is crap then the mascara is crap too.

Face of Australia says:
Extreme volume and curl mascara
Revolutionary smooth-curve formula glides onto lashes, creating extreme volume and long lasting curl. Hourglass-shaped rubber brush grabs and separates every lash for perfect, clump-free application. Smudge proof and flake resistant. Paraben free.

Impact-Curl mascara costs $11.95 and is available from Priceline, Kmart and Big W.

Would I purchase this? Yes, it's a great mascara and it's cheap!

Impact-Curl mascara was sent to me for consideration.

  1. I saw this on Priceline yesterday I didn't buy it though but based on your reviews I'll definitely buy this when I got back.

  2. That looks really good, I am really bad at buying mascara and all the ones I get are very clumpy :( Might have to give this one a go.
